Biography
I am a master's student studying Environmental Management with The Open University, and a land worker developing a native woodland on the Isle of Lewis in Scotland. The focus of this Fellowship is to visit Ireland, Canada, Greenland, Faroe Islands, and Iceland to research land use and management, indigenous forests and community woodlands, and local stewardship of environmental projects.
I am a passionate advocate for mitigating climate change conditions with nature-based solutions, and believe that projects are only successful when there is genuine community buy-in. I have many years' experience working in community development and will be bringing this expertise to the Fellowship, using my knowledge to help with researching how communities have successfully managed land use projects in remote and rural places.
