Biography
I am now retired from paid work to Leicestershire village life as a grandfather and occasional charity trustee. My Fellowship focus was on youth counselling and advisory services in Europe. I went on to be the development officer for such services in the UK, and then worked variously on youth work and youth policy nationally and internationally.
I was an academic educator and consultant, first at Leicester University School of Management and then at Warwick Business School. I then returned to work as the Chief Operating Officer of the National Youth Agency, and then as Chief Executive of the national youth homelessness charity Centrepoint. Latterly I worked as an interim CEO and similar, including for the touring company Kneehigh Theatre and The Mary Ward Settlement and Adult Education Centre in London.
The lessons of my Fellowship informed all my working life.
