Biography
I was an Olympic hammer-thrower 1972 and it was to develop my sport that I received my Fellowship in 1973. I continued lecturing in sociology until 1995 when I retired to concentrate on my manufacturing business Olympian Sheds in Sandbach, Cheshire. I continue to work in my factory and am lucky my children have followed me and have more than taken the reins.
I coached at a high level and continue to give mentoring to athletes and coaches, albeit a decreasing amount.
A key element in Fellowships is to cement friendships across borders. This I have maintained - and across generations - with those I met and had help from during my adventures of 1973.
