Biography
I am a retired academic psychiatrist. In 2004 I undertook my Fellowship in Melbourne, Australia. My aim was to improve my qualitative research skills as all my previous work had been quantitative. I knew some people at a university there who had experience of that work. I undertook a small project exploring women's views of treatments for postpartum depression which was one of my areas of interest. It helped my own subsequent work and also reviewing papers for journals and being external examiner for a PhD which involved some qualitative research.
