Christopher Dunseath
The relationship between sculpture and architecture
Biography
I was born in Northern Ireland, moved to Somerset as a child, then studied at Yeovil and Cheltenham Schools of Art and was a postgraduate sculpture student at the Slade School of Fine Art. I was a Fellow at Cardiff College of Art and was awarded a Churchill Fellowship to work in Egypt. I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Sculptors and an Academician of the Royal West of England Academy. I have taught at various art faculties, including being an associate senior sculpture lecturer at Coventry University and visiting lecturer at the Royal Academy Schools, London.
Recently I was the winner of the Solo Exhibition Prize at Duke's Gallery in Dorchester, The Open West Wilson Award, Cheltenham Art Gallery and also a prize-winner at Wells Art Contemporary. I have work in various collections including Arts Council England, the Royal Collection and the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) in Bristol.
