Biography
I am the Founder of Earth Systems Conservation, working at the intersection of agriculture, ecology and integrated design to develop climate-resilient land use systems. With a background in architecture, I bring two decades of experience in the built environment into my work as an environmentalist and permaculture designer, focusing on regenerative agriculture and agroforestry.
My Fellowship explores how tree crops and agroforestry systems can support the UK's transition to a more resilient and secure food system in the face of climate change. I will be learning from practitioners across Europe and the USA, particularly in regions already experiencing the climatic conditions the UK is moving towards.
I am motivated by the urgent need to rethink how we produce food, moving from extractive systems towards regenerative, perennial systems that restore ecosystems while remaining productive. I aim to develop practical, scalable approaches that can support farmers, strengthen supply chains, and contribute to a more resilient agricultural future in the UK.
