Biography

I am the Founder of ACES Youth Project and Amazing Parent GEMS (APG), an education consultant, parent engagement strategist, author of Securing Your Child's Future and former teacher with many years' experience supporting children and families.

My Fellowship explores how families, schools and employers can work together more effectively to improve educational outcomes, social mobility and access to opportunity, particularly for Black Caribbean and other underrepresented young people. My interest in this work is shaped by both lived and professional experience. As the first generation in my late mother's family to access higher education, I have seen the transformative impact that information, opportunity and parental support can have on a child's future.

Throughout my career, I have worked across schools, local authorities, businesses and community organisations to support achievement, confidence, leadership and future readiness. Through my Fellowship, I will learn from leading practitioners in Singapore and the USA and develop a practical Build Achievement Together framework to help families, schools and employers create stronger pathways to opportunity across the UK.
