Biography

I am a freelance consultant, operating in both in the UK and Germany. My current role is at Camden Spark, where I co-lead on the design, delivery and development of Camden's Local Cultural Education Partnership. We collaborate with schools and arts organisations in Camden to ensure equitable access to creative and cultural education for all local children and young people in the borough.

My Fellowship helped me to further develop my understanding of systemic inequities and social justice through the lens of language education, but the learning has been much further-reaching, and has influenced a current project on equity, inclusion and creativity with local teachers and cultural educators at Camden Spark.

In December 2020 I spoke at a National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum (NALDIC) regional interest group, and in June 2021 I delivered a short talk at an international conference in Finland. I have also been contacted to advise on various projects and to connect colleagues.

My Fellowship has allowed me to share international ideas around how to achieve systems change and shift mindsets in the classroom through learner voice, asset-based approaches, collective teacher autonomy and shared and diverse leadership.
