Biography

I am the Public Engagement Manager at the Leverhulme Research Centre for Forensic Science, University of Dundee. I am the Secretary for the Public Communication of Science and Technology Network (PCST) and was the co-host of the PCST Conference 2020+1. I am also the Science Editor for The Biochemist publication. In 2015-2016 I was awarded a Churchill Fellowship on the communication of science, travelling to the USA, Japan and China to explore how major research institutes and individual researchers help foster online engagement through social media. I began my involvement in public engagement during my PhD in Molecular Pharmacology at the University of Aberdeen when I was editor and co-founder of Au Science Magazine.
