Biography
I have a range of roles in universities, such as senior lecturer in education (part-time), as well as freelance roles as an MBA practice tutor and degree apprenticeship skills coach. I also run my own limited company through which I provide coaching and research support.
My Fellowship focused upon teaching about the euro, and involved visiting Finland, Ireland and France in 1999 to find out how they were preparing the public for its introduction. I was interested in this topic as, at that time, I was running the European Centre for Schools and Colleges (West Midlands) funded by the European Commission.
The Fellowship helped to inform my work with educational institutions and was of huge benefit to me in terms of visiting countries and meeting with a range of interesting and enthusiastic people who were keen to share their experiences. It also enabled me to develop some research and interviewing skills which I have been able to build upon in my subsequent work.
I am very thankful for this Fellowship, and do my best to raise people's awareness of it as a wonderful development opportunity.
