Biography

I am an independent British dance artist and a trainee British Sign Language interpreter, based in London.

I trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance from 1994 to 1997. I am also a Candoco Dance Company associate artist, first dancing with the company in 1999 and rejoining as an associate in 2014, choreographing, teaching, performing and facilitating dance projects in the UK and abroad.

During my dance career I have worked with, amongst others, Neon Dance, 2Faced Dance, Fin Walker, Ben Duke, Kwesi Johnson, Tom Roden, Navtej Johar (India), Dagdha Dance (Ireland), Colin Poole, Hannah Gilgren, Annie Hanauer, Annie Lok, Moxie Brawl, David Jubb and Holly Noble Dance.

Between 2014 and 2018, I was Director of Highfliers, a training company for dancers with learning disabilities, commissioning and touring works by Ben Duke and Stopgap Dance. I choreographed the award-winning DeSPRESSO with Company Clochart in 2016 and performed in Candoco's award-winning film Spoken Unspoken, by Fin Walker. In 2021 you could catch me performing in Candoco's duet A Graceful Act of Stupidity, touring the UK and directed by Tom Roden.
