Biography
I am a student doctor at the University of Liverpool and Council Member for General Practice and Primary Care at the Royal Society of Medicine, where I lead on AI and Digital Innovation. Alongside my medical degree, I completed a master's in interdisciplinary problem solving at the London Interdisciplinary School, which changed how I think. I am drawn to problems that cross boundaries, and how we care for an ageing population using AI is exactly that kind of problem.
Japan and Singapore are world leaders in using AI and robotics to support older people in real clinical and community settings, not just in pilots, but at scale. I want to understand how it works day to day, how it is governed, and what has actually made a difference.
The UK has an ageing population and overstretched services. AI could help, but only if we adopt it carefully and with the right values. I have seen how much enthusiasm there is for these tools in the NHS, and how little clarity there is about how to use them well. That gap is what drives me. I want to understand what good looks like elsewhere and bring those lessons home.
