Biography
My Fellowship involved researching music, dance and carnival arts in Brazil. At the time I worked with music and movement in educational community arts projects in the UK. My Fellowship project proved invaluable in my work then, and has since given me insight into ways of working with groups that motivate and inspire change towards shared goals.
I currently teach health-related courses for local communities in the High Peak in Derbyshire and across the UK and Europe. I organise local events linking wellbeing, health, nutrition and exercise, with a particular focus on the older community. I teach a system of mindful exercise, modern Pilates as well as yoga, informed by clear up-to-date protocols for wellbeing as well as 18 years of research and study in India and Europe.
I also teach seminars in person and online on safe exercise systems for office workers and university students. I work with all ages and abilities. My approach is to have fun whilst learning a few things about the skeleton and muscles that make life a little easier.
