Biography

I work at the University of Lincoln as an associate professor of allied health professions (AHPs). I completed my Fellowship in 2015, travelling across Canada to review health improvement in radiotherapy practice. The Fellowship followed on from my master's dissertation, where I identified opportunities for better provision of health improvement in oncology practice to enable improved quality of life and to reduce inequalities in this population.

Following my Fellowship, I have been fortunate to undertake a number of national projects including leading on a UK allied health professions public health strategic framework and reviewing the Council of Deans of Health AHP public health curricula guidance. I also conducted a part-time role with Public Health England and I am a technical advisor for the Public Health England World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre.

I believe the Fellowship has been a springboard for many opportunities and the development of a number of resources and tools to enable AHPs to embed public health and prevention within their roles. It really is the greatest opportunity that I have had and I am very grateful to the Fellowship.
