Biography

I am the Founder of Housing for Protection, an initiative exploring how housing systems can enable refugee protection credibly and at scale. The work focuses on how housing pathways shape outcomes across asylum, temporary accommodation and safe routes, producing system analysis, feasibility studies and practical proposals for scalable housing solutions. Housing for Protection brings together expertise from housing, government and civil society to identify approaches that are both effective and deliverable.

Over the past 20 years I have worked across government, civil society and frontline delivery. I co-founded Safe Passage International (where I now serve as a trustee), helped design the UK's Communities for Afghans policy, and supported community-led resettlement through Homes for Ukraine.

My Fellowship examines international housing models that create stable homes, strengthen communities and support integration. I want to understand how successful approaches can be adapted for the UK, helping reduce reliance on temporary accommodation and contributing to durable, community-based housing pathways that strengthen both protection and social cohesion.
