Biography

I am Business Development Manager at Pol Roger Portfolio, representing the Champagne Pol Roger family in the UK. Life has a way of coming back around as the Pol Roger family are lifelong friends with the Churchill family, so much so that a special prize of a bottle of champagne is awarded to Fellows. At just 17 I am one of the youngest to ever receive the Fellowship, suffice to say I would not have had the opportunities, experience or career I have today without it.

I applied for the Fellowship to help improve sport in my community – more specifically my number-one love: badminton. I became a certified coach, worked with development officers across the UK and helped to run my local badminton club for many years.

Northern Ireland is a small country with sometimes limited opportunities for young people, so I wanted to learn how New Zealand – a country well known for its focus on health and wellbeing – promoted, coached and helped younger kids in the smaller communities which in turn gives confidence, independence and, most importantly, keeps them off the streets at night.
