Biography
I am currently working as a Church of England rector near Taunton.
My 1981 Fellowship was in the field of exploration in Madagascar. I was medical officer to a six-person expedition undertaking biological and ecological exploration and study in the south and north of the island.
I have maintained strong links to those I met and with The Friends of Madagascar and Anglo-Malagasy Society, speaking out for environmental and social issues in the island.
The main long-term outcome of my Fellowship was to increase understanding of the world and how others live. I was moved by a depth of faith and hospitality in many I met, which enabled me to be a better doctor on my return and subsequently a better minister in the church.
