Biography
My Fellowship allowed me to go to the United States to train in sport parachuting, becoming a member of the British parachute team and competing in world and European championships.
After serving as a Detective Inspector in the Met Police, I became a Close Protection Officer for British businesspeople in high-risk countries. I then formed TASK International, which became the foremost security training company in the UK. It specialised in close-protection techniques, working in numerous countries training military and police forces, including the Royal Malaysian Police for the XV Commonwealth Games.
I sold the company, but finding retirement boring, worked for a number of police forces investigating fraud, historical child sexual abuse and serious sexual offences. I was report writer for a historical high-profile murder. I worked on the Savile Enquiry, and for the Serious Fraud Office and City of London Police economic crime department, investigating money laundering with over 300 victims.
Since retiring in 2017 and relocating to the Midlands I have acquired a Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Psychology, play badminton for Cheshire over sixty-fives, and spend my time between the UK and Spain.
