Biography
I am an international concert pianist and professor of piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. I am also Director of the Roskell Academy and the author of an award-winning book The Complete Pianist: from Healthy Technique to Natural Artistry, published by Edition Peters.
My Fellowship supported postgraduate study in Rome with one of the most renowned piano teachers of the time, Maestro Guido Agosti. Since then, I have achieved international recognition as a performer, teacher and author and as a specialist in playing-related injuries. I do not believe I would have been able to reach my current status within the profession without the support of the Fellowship and Agosti's fine teaching, which helped me to refine my playing and deepen my musical understanding.
Much of Agosti's teaching still resonates with me as a teacher now and he is quoted many times in my book The Complete Pianist.
