Biography
My Fellowship in 1993 dealt with sport and health in the community but morphed into the idea of 'wellness' as a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle, which encompassed the sport element. Since then, I have been involved with healthy lifestyles, and on a practical level, as a coach with the GB Nordic Ski Team and as a Nordic Walking instructor. Although I am now retired, I passionately believe that we can all make better personal choices to become healthier and happier human beings, with the added bonus of not hindering the work of the NHS. It has been 28 years since my Fellowship but the nation is still talking about the relationship between lifestyle choices and health. My Fellowship is as relevant today as it was then.
