Biography

I'm a creative partner in Bradley Basso Studios, which I established together with Denise mt Basso in 2004. I was a Royal College of Art (RCA) stained-glass student from 1959 to 1962 and set up my west London studio in 1964, extending my work to encompass all forms of creative glass art for a wide field of the built environment in the UK and overseas.

My Fellowship in 1988 was to North America to meet, stay, and at times work alongside, many contemporary glass artists across a wide area of Canada and the United States, to discuss our working practices as an experience from within their studios.

Passing on my own experience and developing knowledge as a visiting or part-time lecturer in relevant art colleges has also been a rewarding two-way process that existed prior to my Fellowship. Using my extended knowledge resulted in a memorable period at Chelsea College of Arts, where I had the privilege of working with some very talented and successful students, through which I was able to offer one mature student the possibility of working with me in a partnership. That partnership has now developed and matured over 17 years with a wider spectrum of activities, which will continue to develop beyond 2021.
