Biography
I am a community health services nurse lead with national leadership experience in dementia care, specialising in developing equitable, community-based health models. My career has focused on improving access, outcomes and system design for people living with dementia, particularly in rural and underserved areas. I combine clinical insight with strategic experience, influencing policy and service development across integrated care systems.
I will explore how rural and remote communities in Australia and Canada deliver innovative dementia care, including community-led support and dementia-specific telehealth. These models align with the UK's shift towards neighbourhood and place-based care, and offer valuable insight into scalable, person-centred solutions.
My motivation is rooted in a commitment to tackling health inequalities and enabling ageing well in place. This Fellowship allows me to examine practical innovations from international systems and to translate them into sustainable, high-impact approaches for UK services. I intend to share learning widely. My goal is to influence change at scale so that all communities can access high quality care.
