I am Artist Practitioner at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, one of the team of artists delivering the Creative Arts Service in palliative care. We provide practical visual art and creative writing sessions for patients, their families and carers. Our approach to art making is person-centred, process-based and tailored to each individual's needs and interests in a range of mediums.

My Fellowship explored models of best practice in creative ageing. I visited a range of visual art programmes focused on older people in health, community and museum settings to learn about approaches that could possibly be replicated in the UK. It was an amazing opportunity to learn from and be inspired by artists and health professionals delivering quality visual art programmes for older people. I have gained valuable knowledge and experience which will feed into my current role in palliative care.

I plan to continue exploring models of best practice and exchanging information, experience and expertise with the many connections made during my Fellowship.
