Biography
I am an award-winning humanitarian and journalist with several years of experience in global organisations including BBC World Service, Reuters and Save the Children. I hold a BA in International Journalism, a Postgraduate Diploma in Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution and I'm currently pursuing an LLM in Human Rights Law.
My Fellowship focuses on tackling hate speech in UK communities using practical, community-driven solutions. Hate speech is on the rise globally and in the UK, where UN committees have issued warnings about growing hate crimes, xenophobia and harmful rhetoric - including by politicians and public figures.
This project aims to explore effective responses to hate speech that support those most affected, strengthen communities and address the underlying societal tensions that allow hate to thrive.
