Biography
I am a police dog handler and dog legislation officer with Dorset Police, where I work with specialist detection dogs and deal with dangerous dog incidents. Dogs have been a passion of mine since childhood, and I have always been fascinated by the relationship between people and their dogs.
My Fellowship will focus on responsible dog ownership and how different countries manage dog control, public safety and animal welfare. I will visit New Zealand and Italy to learn from their approaches and explore alternatives to the UK's current system.
I aim to identify practical, evidence-based solutions that can help reduce dog attacks, improve owner accountability and create better outcomes for communities, dog owners and dogs themselves. Ultimately, I want to contribute to a more effective and preventative approach to responsible dog ownership in the UK.
