Biography
I am a health policy professional focused on the intersection of healthcare and climate change, with a particular interest in reducing emissions from medicines while improving patient outcomes. I hold a BSc in Human Sciences, an MSc in Health Policy, and have contributed to and implemented national policies to optimise medicines use, strengthen supply resilience, progress decarbonisation, and improve equitable access to care.
Globally, healthcare has a significant climate impact. It is responsible for about 4% of total emissions, with approximately a quarter arising from medicines and prescribing. As a result, there is a growing focus on developing, identifying and promoting lower-carbon medicines and treatment pathways.
I will explore how health systems can better engage and include patients in the delivery of low-carbon care. Central to this work is understanding what builds trust, motivates action, and resonates across diverse communities. By learning from international research, approaches and practice, I aim to shape practical, patient-centred strategies that support the UK's journey to net zero healthcare while delivering better health outcomes.
