Biography
I am a clinical nurse specialist in lipids and apheresis at Imperial College Hospitals, London. My focus is on artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic aids in healthcare, especially in nursing, and their integration in other advanced countries.
The UK healthcare system faces a crisis due to a shortage of nurses for complex patients and an ageing population, leading to longer waiting times and reduced care quality. AI and robots can automate tasks like medication dispensing, allowing nurses to concentrate on patient care and improving overall service quality. Countries like Japan, Singapore and South Korea have effectively adopted these technologies, which can enhance care availability, accuracy and monitoring while reducing workload and costs.
I aim to explore robotics and AI integration in healthcare in Japan, South Korea, India and Singapore, examining technological advancements, ethical issues, regulations and societal acceptance. My project aims to boost efficiency, improve patient outcomes and foster innovation in the UK healthcare system.
