Biography
I am a mental health nurse and fitness instructor on a psychiatric intensive care unit, where we have developed personalised physical health programmes.
I founded LiveMore, a social enterprise to develop gyms in mental healthcare. We have improved 6 hospital ward gyms.
We are developing a community gym, as a collaboration between psychological therapies and mental health services. We will use this gym to improve physical activity and nutrition support in mental healthcare, undertaking translational research.
My Churchill Fellowship was to Australia, learning from mental health services such as Keeping the Body in Mind (KBIM), who have successfully scaled and evaluated personalised physical health programmes.
