Matt Waugh (CF 2020) has implemented a physical activity service within an NHS mental health setting, based around a gym at St Charles Health Centre and accessed by Community Living Well services, including NHS Talking Therapies and inpatient care.
The model draws on the KBIM service in Sydney, which he visited during his Churchill Fellowship, adapting its approach to support physical activity within mental health treatment.
The model is outlined in an evaluation report.
