Bethany Linder (CF 2025) presented a Dementia Researcher webinar on assistive technology and dementia care, sharing insights from her Churchill Fellowship research in Japan.
The session explored how robotics, virtual reality, smart homes, and artificial intelligence are being used to support people living with dementia in one of the world’s fastest ageing populations. It also considered what has worked, future directions for assistive technology, and how learning from Japan could inform dementia care in the UK.
