July 2023 Fellow's update: David Stanley

David Stanley (CF 2019) recently led an accessible music session at 10 Downing Street for Westminster primary school pupils, attended by the Prime Minister's wife and the Prime Minister. He also toured San Diego, performed at the Royal Albert Hall with His Majesty's Bands of The Royal Marines, and received the Freedom of the City of Southend-On-Sea for his music education charity supporting people with learning disabilities.

May 2023 Fellow's update: Stephen Ward

Stephen Ward's (CF 1991) latest book Opulence and Ostentation: Building the Circus has been published. This book is a comprehensive exploration of the development of historic static circus buildings across the UK, Europe, and the New World. Journal The Circus Diaries describe it as "an invaluable contribution to circus scholarship".

July 2023 Fellow's update: Nina Smith

Former teacher, Nina Smith (CF 2023) has appeared in a couple of media outlets this month. Nina lost her younger brother to suicide and recounts her experience and hopes for the future in the articles from InYourArea.co.uk and Leigh Observer and Skem News. Nina will be travelling to Australia and the USA to explore school-based suicide prevention strategies.
