Shehan Hettiaratchy (CF 2009) published his memoir The Careful Surgeon: Finding Light, Courage and Compassion in the Face of Life and Death, reflecting on his experiences as a trauma surgeon in major incidents and conflict settings.
The book was featured in a Guardian interview exploring his work treating victims of the Westminster attack, his surgical missions in Ukraine and Gaza, and his views on maintaining compassion and humanity in healthcare.
