Erica McInnis (CF 2016) developed and delivered a five-week Emotional First Aid: African Psychology in Action course in North Manchester, in partnership with NHS Manchester and the Rainbow Centre.
Drawing on learning from her Fellowship research in the USA, the programme supported participants to address racial trauma and strengthen their emotional wellbeing through African-centred psychological approaches.
Erica was also featured by the British Psychological Society for Black History Month, highlighting her work to advance African psychology through professional education, community programmes, and research.
