Application form

Application form

We’re now open for applications until midday on 4 November 2025 – we're excited to hear from you.

We use an online application system.

You can download a sample Word form to review in advance of making an application, but this is for practice and guidance only.

We can only accept offline applications from applicants who have requested additional support – see our EDI and Accessibility page to find out more.

Before you start your application, make sure you have read the FAQs on our website.

Please note:

  • Each answer is limited to a maximum number of characters.
  • A red asterisk indicates a question that must be answered.
  • It’s a good idea to regularly save your answers as you complete the form.

The deadline for us to receive your application is midday on Tuesday 4 November 2025. Applications received after this time will not be considered.

The questions we ask

These are the main questions we ask you in the form:

  1. What change do you hope to make in the UK? Please tell us why you think a change is needed and what difference it could make, including who you think would benefit most.
  2. Why are you the right person to carry out a Fellowship? Please tell us about the lived and/or learned experience which you think would make you an effective Churchill Fellow.
  3. Which countries do you want to learn from? Tell us more about why you have chosen them. What do you hope to learn from them? Please tell us something about the people and places you would like to focus on. We understand your thinking will develop and your plans might change.
  4. How do you think you will share and use your learning to influence change in the UK? Tell us something about what you hope to do next – with whom, how and when. We understand change takes time and your plans will evolve.

This is the first stage of our application process. If you are successful at this stage, we will invite you to send us more information about your budget, your travel plans, and any access needs you might have.
