Building a society that cares
Building a society that cares
In this programme, we are seeking applications that aim to reimagine a care-centred future for the UK. You can find out more in this programme brief.
Applications are currently closed. We will re-open on 2 September 2025. You can sign up for application alerts at the bottom of this page.
Who should apply?
Across any sector or community, we invite applications that seek to identify the root causes of some of society’s greatest challenges and that explore how a more caring and compassionate approach can be taken to address and prevent them.
We consider care in its broadest sense, including:
- Systems, services and policies that can better provide for the needs of society and its citizens
- Approaches that can better support and enable individuals and communities to look after each other
We welcome applications from anyone in a caring role and are particularly interested in applications from unpaid carers. We also welcome individuals working in sectors less associated with care, for example justice, education, community, housing, and government.
