Homeopathy in maternity care
Biography
I am a psychodynamic counsellor (COSCA Accred, MBACP), clinical supervisor and trainer, based in Glasgow. I am also a Director of Settle Wellbeing Community Interest Company, providing psychological and social support for marginalised young adults who are survivors of persecution and organised violence. My area of special interest is complex trauma. I work with the asylum seeker and refugee community as well as in private practice.
Formerly a midwife, my Fellowship was to explore the use of homeopathy in maternity care in Cuba. This life-enhancing experience gave me fresh insight into a human resourcefulness and resilience that has inspired and supported me to undertake the work that I do today.
Personally a great advocate for the use of natural medicine and complementary therapies, my Fellowship gave me confidence to be more outspoken within my work environments about how homeopathy can support health and wellbeing.
