Biography

I am an artist and science communicator and my Fellowship was about art, science and nature. The purpose was to create literature and workshops for children and families based on my experiences in the Arctic Circle. I was aiming to encourage a greater understanding of the natural world by promoting a sense of connection and stewardship.

As an artist I am endlessly fascinated by nature, and science informs my creative work, helping me to see the natural world in greater depth. I create narratives, inspiring others to go out and explore their environment and share the sense of awe and wonder that can be experienced by discovering the world around us.

As a result of my Fellowship I have forged relationships with artists and scientists all over the world. I have been awarded funding to develop art and science workshops and delivered talks to adult groups and at schools around the UK. I am represented by literary agents Curtis Brown and have held several exhibitions. In 2019 I travelled to Antarctica with a team I met on my Fellowship.

My Fellowship has positively impacted my life both personally and professionally. It was the starting point from which everything since has flourished.
