Biography

I am the Director of Boarding at Brisbane Grammar School in Queensland, Australia, where I lead the residential community and teach design studies. My Fellowship focused on the use of computing technologies to enable learning within the educational setting and the topic was Laptops, Networks and the E-school Concept. Teaching in a technology-laden subject area, I was drawn towards what at the time new were new mobile computing innovations which had been readily embraced in Australia. I used the knowledge and insight gained through my Fellowship in my work at Haileybury, leading the teaching of design technology and information and communications technology.

My career has since evolved with a greater pastoral than teaching focus and I have led various boarding houses or communities across the globe. That said, my teaching remains a passion and I continue to use a variety of technologies, from computer-aided design to three-dimensional modelling, to enhance the learning experience of my students.
