Effects of cable and satellite TV on programmes and costs
Biography
I'm a technology journalist, writing and making films for CoinGeek, a bitcoin news site, where I also produce and host the weekly CoinGeek Conversations podcast. I was previously a BBC television producer, making programmes about business and technology including series about the dot.com boom and biographies of Facebook, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Donald Trump among others.
I used my experience of covering the dot.com era as the subject of a master's degree in history, which I completed at the University of Roehampton. My PhD in history studies American visitors to Britain in the nineteenth century.
My Fellowship allowed me travel round the United States to research emerging media and led, directly or indirectly, to most of what I've done since.
