I am the director of my own small consultancy business which specialises in building career pathways for service-leavers and veterans entering the land-based sector.
My Fellowship is all about harnessing best practice in resettlement and career transition from countries with a similar military tradition and an active veteran farming and outdoorsman community. Crucially, it is not focused on therapy or a service person's physical and mental injury in service, but on the productivity benefits to employers and the nation of supporting service people through the life challenges associated with, and attributable to, career change.
I commissioned from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1995 and served as a regular officer until 2018, since when I have been an active reserve service officer. I enjoy my continued relationship with the army and its people and am proud of the positive impact I am able to make to the next phase of their service to our nation.
My Fellowship has been on hold due to the pandemic but I have been able to generate some international contacts during 2020-2021 which have offered new perspectives already. I look forward to hopefully travelling in 2022.
