Biography

I was awarded my Fellowship in 1980 in order to encourage women to take up golf. At the time the Ladies European Tour was trying to get going.

As a scratch golfer my Fellowship took me to the University of Arizona where I competed on the golf team. The purpose of my Fellowship was to learn as much as I could about the system in the United States, come back to England and help promote women's golf.

I am now Vice-President of Epping Golf Club, which is a grassroots pay-and-play course and members' club. I especially enjoy encouraging beginners to play and offer free lessons. In the 20 years I have been a member I have encouraged many ladies who have gone on to become members of Epping and other local clubs.

I am proud and grateful to be a Churchill Fellow.
