Biography
In 1996 I travelled around Australia and examined methods employed to integrate public art within architecture and urban design. Prior to my Fellowship I was a public art commissioning agent for many local authorities, mostly in the north of England. On my return I continued to advocate for art to be integrated into urban design and particularly into highways schemes and housing developments.
In 2001 I added a new string to my bow and founded a travel company dedicated to tailor-made arts-led tours in India and the subcontinent. Redbird Travel can offer advice to anyone who would like to travel to experience the vibrant cultures and artistic treasures to be found in India, Bhutan and Sri Lanka.
