Biography

For my Fellowship in 1999 I visited Holland, Germany and Sweden. I studied the training and success of youth riders in dressage at European championship level.

I am a professional equestrian coach and my specialist areas are youth development and coach education. I have been involved in policy development of these areas of equestrian sport and industry for many years.

My Fellowship helped to further my knowledge and understanding of training and success in Europe. As a director of British Dressage (the governing body for the sport of dressage in the UK) for eight years from 2000 to 2007, I was able to lead and guide the development of the youth area of the sport. I am still active as a coach and judge in equestrian sport.
