Biography
I have been retired for 28 years.
My Fellowship was just before my retirement, and was a study of new developments in the culture of mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) in Europe. I visited seven European countries.
I was to report to the UK Mushroom Growers Association, but they rescinded their invitation to speak at their conference because they feared my report would harm the industry. My predictions of the industry's future were entirely accurate, and because they failed to act appropriately, the industry is now a mere shadow of its former self.
I went on to do contract work for certain sectors for the following ten years, during which time I wrote, and have had published, a book on the pests and diseases of the crop which has worldwide circulation and is still current.
