Biography
I am a classically trained computer scientist with a first-class MA from King's College, Cambridge, turned non-profit fundraiser. As the CEO of Hubbub, I've spent the last ten years bringing digital best practice to charity fundraising, with a special focus on the education sector.
It is precisely the area of digital connections with and between alumni that my Fellowship explored, focusing on the lessons to learn from the USA and Canada. The Fellowship enabled me to gather together the threads of best practice – as well as the challenges the sector faces – from a wide range of public and private institutions across North America, and to synthesise this research into a simple set of recommendations.
I am also an associate partner at More Partnership focusing on digital engagement and fundraising, a governor of Bristol Grammar School and an advisor to the University of Cambridge alumni communications team. I also have advisory roles at two tech start-ups, am a keen baker, and I play table football for Great Britain.
