Biography

I work in education as an assistant advisory officer. My Fellowship was about the use of information and communications technology (ICT) in education and how ICT can enhance teaching, learning and communication for pupils.

Modern society depends upon ICT systems. Rapid advances have been made in the use of ICT and skills can begin to develop in school. The use of ICT in the curriculum allows pupils to be creative in the many ways they search for, create, communicate, manage, share and store information.

When I was teaching, the variety of software available enabled the children to work together in creative ways and develop new skills as part of their topic work. This spurred on my interest in the topic. Now I encourage the use of ICT whenever it is possible within education.
