Biography
I am a professional photographer and ballet teacher based in Yorkshire.
When I was awarded my Fellowship, I visited the top ballet schools around the world to research their injury prevention plans. I used this research to create awareness within the dance community, creating knowledge awareness of positive practices for other dance teachers and students. The experience allowed me to grow professionally as a teacher and opened my eyes to better teaching.
I am still fascinated by exploring countries and practices and I am still seeing if there are more opportunities to take my knowledge abroad. I went to Mumbai in 2018 to teach dance with four international teachers and delivered a week-long workshop to the children in the townships.
I feel extremely grateful and proud to have been awarded this Fellowship, something I thought was unimaginable. It will be with me for life and I hope my skills have enabled me to become a better teacher and a more fulfilled human.
