Fellow’s Profile
Lorne MacLeod
Community development for rural communities
Biography
I am a commissioner with the Scottish Land Commission. The Scottish Land Commission is driving a programme of land reform spanning both urban and rural land, to create a Scotland where land is owned and used in ways that are fair, responsible and productive.
My Fellowship in 1997 involved studying economic and community development in the Atlantic Islands of Canada. This opportunity offered me an insight to different approaches to development work, which provided me with additional skills that I applied in performance of my work over the years.
