Biography

The progression and expression of the flow of creativity and wish to be of service continued on since my Churchill Fellowship of 2010, and has led me to train and now work as a freelance mindfulness teacher, retreat leader and coach.

Building on a previous career within the public sector working with disaffected adolescents in education and youth justice systems, I have always had a strong drive to enable others (and myself) to gain practical life tools and practices that can truly empower us to live our best lives from a place of alignment with what really matters.

My Churchill Fellowship, which researched Restorative Responses to Address Teen Violence Against Parents back in 2010, led to my expression of service flowing out of the public sector to set up the training and awareness-raising platform Alternative Restoratives. This allowed the findings of my research and practice to be shared with other professionals and family services to raise awareness to alternative ways of working with families experiencing the issue of adolescent-to-parent violence, and also train professionals ready to pilot the Step Up programme in their service.
