Biography
I'm a physiotherapist and I have worked in the NHS for 15 years. I currently work for a team dedicated to supporting older people living in care homes in South West London.
The aims of my research are to explore how activity is incorporated into the lives of older people living in care facilities, and how activity impacts on both the individual's wellbeing and the lives of their carers. I want to learn from innovative practice in Japan and Europe, and consider how we can apply different approaches in the UK.
As a physiotherapist working with older people and in care homes, I'm passionate about supporting older people to keep active into older age. I hope to apply learning to the area I work in and share knowledge throughout my professional networks.
